As a new senior consultant, Annette joins the Loring, Sternberg & Associates team with 18 years of comprehensive experience of nearly all facets of the fundraising process. She previously served as the Assistant Vice President for Philanthropy at Ivy Tech Foundation where she led the Foundation’s annual fund, stewardship, social media, advancement services, alumni relations, planned giving, event planning, and marketing and communication strategies. She created the Foundation’s 5-year strategic plan and was a member of the leadership team executing their first ever statewide $340 million campaign from feasibility study and public phase to campaign finale. Annette was an integral part of expanding Ivy Tech’s women in philanthropy initiative to nearly 1,000 members raising around $240,000 annually.
Prior to Ivy Tech, she was a front-line major gift fundraiser for Purdue University. Annette served as a Senior Director of Development in Student Life where she led the fundraising efforts for over 12 departments and oversaw 5 volunteer boards. She was involved in 4 successful multi-million dollar building campaigns and personally raised over $19 million during her time at Purdue University. Annette career started in Purdue’s annual giving department and she implemented the first annual giving program for Purdue’s Black Cultural Center.
Annette has been a presenter at numerous CASE and AFP conferences. She has a micro-credential in Inclusive Philanthropy from Florida International University, is a graduate from Leadership Lafayette, and has received the Outstanding Leadership Award for Student Life at Purdue University. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Purdue University.
Among other things, Annette has served on the board of directors at Historic Prophetstown, volunteered for multiple areas within the 4-H program, mentored and advised Purdue student organizations, and served on the Miss Purdue pageant committee.
